The Videolympics will be a laid back gathering where retro gaming fans can enjoy access to a wide range of classic consoles, computers and arcade machines whilst sampling real ale and fine food at the same time!
The event will also feature a number of fun challenges, that will be loosely based around Olympic sports - with some very special prizes for winners! Expect music, entertainment and other tasty Lass treats too!
Furthermore, the Videolympics will play host to the fourth 'Homebrew Gaming Weekend' - a gathering of coders, graphics artists and general fans/enthusiasts of "homebrew" games, which will take place in the Salmon Rooms on the first floor.
Tickets for the Videolympics (including Homebrew Gaming Weekend #4) are priced at £9.95 each and cover entry for the whole weekend.
To gain entry to the event, please bring a printout of your Paypal order confirmation.
The Videoolympics will take place at The Lass O'Gowrie, a unique and historic pub in central Manchester. The venue is easily found, being just a couple of minutes from the A57(M), which is easily accessed via the surrounding Motorways. Piccadilly and Oxford Road train stations are both within a short walk.

Thanks to its City Centre location, there are a dozens of Hotels in the vicinity of the venue. The nearest are the Days Hotel and the IBIS on Princess Street, with the Premier Travel Inn on Portland Street another reasonably-priced option.
N.B. As it's the summer holidays, it is possible to book a "student" room at the Days Hotel for just £28.00 per night (excluding breakfast*).

For anyone travelling to the event by car, we have checked the local area and suggest that the most affordable location to park will be
the University of Manchester Multi-Storey car park on Charles Street, which is close to the Lass O'Gowrie.
